Make it rain with that green. Hold it like a lover. Caress the fruits of your labor and maybe it will taste sweeter. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and the seeds of your past are being sown as we speak. The mistakes that were made didn’t teach you any lesson. And now you’re alone with your money and it’s repercussions.
Month: September 2016
After math.
Rainbows glistened in the puddles. Reflecting the rays of sunshine after a cloudy day. Storms may brew but there’s nothing better than the afternoon dew.
Weeds
Weeds grow like vines, tangles of lies and regret. Disappointment shrouds the beauty of each rose. Painting the ivory red. As we wander through the labrynth, trying to find the end, we must watch every step we tread. Careful not to destroy the diamonds in the rough. The treasures hidden in the rubble that we don’t see until it’s buried by the webs we weave.
Nostalgia
There’s a twinkle in your eye that I’ve never seen before. There’s a shine to your smile that’s been missing for a while. Your laugh fills the room like an echo off a mountain. I hope I see you like this more often.
